Krista Phillips was born in Kindersley, Saskatchewan and grew up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. In 2007, she moved to the small town of Okotoks with her two boys, Ethan and Liam.

Krista has always been passionate about early childhood development, nature, and learning. Her background is in Early Childhood Education, with a diploma in ECE, Child Psychology, Daycare Business Management, and work as an Educational Assistant.

Over the past 40 years, Krista has written for Calgary’s Child Magazine, appeared on Global Television Network as a parenting and childcare expert, and worked with daycares, preschools, day homes, and non-profit organizations supporting children and families.

Now semi-retired, and still in Okotoks, Krista writes children’s books inspired by her love of nature, animals, imagination, and learning—sharing this series of wonderful and true adventures with readers everywhere.
